Do you know a child or youth with a developmental disability, a physical disability, or autism spectrum disorder? He or she may benefit from joining the Adventurers, a community-based program where groups of youth and children work together towards healthy growth and development.
As an “Adventurer”, children will be able to:
- Form friendships with peers
- Improve their social skills
- Discover and enhance their skills and gifts
- Explore the community in a group setting.
Each group consists of five to six children and/or youth, and is facilitated by two professional Child and Youth Care Counsellors. In the spirit of both safety and fun, all group members are initially evaluated in a one-month trial to ensure suitability in group placement.
Please call the number provided to register.
The Adventurers Group program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development and operated by Options Community Services.
