T.R.E.K. (Trust, Respect, Empathy, Knowledge)

Who this program is for

This program is for students ages 13-15 who have not experienced recent success in regular school programming.

This program is part of the OPTIONS for Schools program.

Program Objective

To reintegrate at-risk youth into the school system and the community.

Program Description

The T.R.E.K. Program is aimed at youth in Surrey who are at-risk of fully disengaging from the school system and other community supports. These youth are at an elevated risk of increased substance use, sexual exploitation, as they progress towards further disengagement from positive support systems.

Program Funding

The education component is funded by the School District #36 (Surrey) and the community outreach portion is a partnership between the district and OPTIONS: Services to Communities Society.

Referrals or Prerequisites

Referrals are received twice a year through Student Support Services.
