We’re pleased to see Options Community Services recognized as a participant in the Province of BC’s Budget 2027 Consultation Report, contributing to the conversation on addictions and recovery.

In the report’s Health Care chapter, Options is specifically acknowledged for sharing our experience with our Home-Based Detox Program and advocating for continued investment in addictions and recovery services.

Following input from consultation participants, the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services emphasized the importance of accessible addictions care close to people’s homes and support networks. Its final recommendations include Recommendation 29: fund and prioritize high-barrier detoxification, addiction, and mental health treatment beds.

We’re proud to contribute our frontline experience to conversations that help inform decisions about the future of mental health, substance use and recovery services in BC.
