Community Connections

Community Connections provides immigrant and refugee newcomers in Surrey and Delta with tools and knowledge necessary to establish themselves in Canada.

Newcomer Volunteer Support

Newcomers have access to volunteer opportunities to gain Canadian work experience and build an employment-relevant network.

Safe Relationships Project

Funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, supported by the Kwantlen Polytechnic University research team and in partnership with MOSAIC, the Safe Relationships Project offers guidance and support to newcomer youth and their caregivers in understanding and navigating safe relationships in culturally diverse communities. It also encourages open communication between youth and parents to close the generational and cultural gap between them.

Youth Club

Newcomer youth receive support in a group setting to gain social, life and leadership skills for integration and inclusion in the new community. Workshops for parents will supplement Youth Club activities to put parents, youth and youth workers on the same page. These workshops will not only be educational and informative for the parents, but they will also ensure their engagement with parental support. There will be some one-on-one personalized support to meet the individual needs of some youth.

Eligibility criteria
